Kunshan, China, June 16, 2017 - Chuan Jiang scored a match high of 17 points contributing to China's victory 3-0 (43-41, 26-24, 25-21) over Turkey.

Set one saw an amazing battle between the two teams with China prevailing 43-41. Turkey was close to win it when they extended their lead to 22-19 but three great rallies let China to level the score up at 22 and eventually to win the set.

Turkey regrouped for set two and established a comfortable lead 14-10 and 21-16 later on. But China struck back and courtesy of many Turkish errors went 24-23 up. In the decisive phase China kept their nerves strong and closed the set out at 26-24.

China took their momentum onto the set three going 11-5 up. Turkey was unable to keep the pace and the Asian team won the set 25-21.

China captain Weijun Zhong: We are happy to win the game, it was really a tough one. We played under pressure this game, because we didn't played well last week, so we want to play better in our home soil. We played well in the first set, after that it was a little bit easier in the second and third. I am looking forward to the next two games, because they are our main opponents in Asia.
