Serbia captured a 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-15) victory in their match against Germany on Wednesday. Pavle Peric and Drazan Luburic were the top scorers for Serbia with 15 points, while Linus Weber scored the same number for Germany.

Ruben Schott (GER): The second set was also pretty tight, especially at the end. Then we couldn't sideout anymore and they started to play better - they had some changes, they passed better and they also started to serve better and it was not so easy. It's not easy to play against Serbia. When they start to play they play with a lot of emotions, so it was a tough match, especially as our sideout was not good enough.

Pavle Peric (SRB): I would like to congratulate Germany on a good game, and our team on winning this game. We were losing 0-1, but we managed to win this game 3-1. It was not easy because it was our first game played so early. We played as a total team.
