Quest For The Stanley Cup Episode 2 (2019)

Episode two takes viewers inside the finales of the four Second Round series: Boston Bruins-Columbus Blue Jackets, Carolina Hurricanes-New York Islanders, St. Louis Blues-Dallas Stars and San Jose Sharks-Colorado Avalanche.

The episode opens with Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin at home with his wife, Kylie, their infant daughter and their two dogs before he heads to PNC Arena in Raleigh for Game 4 against the Islanders. The Hurricanes then complete a sweep of the Islanders with a 5-2 win to advance to the Eastern Conference Final.

The cameras follow Bruins forward and Dublin, Ohio, native Sean Kuraly as he discusses playing youth hockey in the Blue Jackets’ practice rink and rooting for his hometown team while walking to Nationwide Arena in Columbus for Game 6. The Bruins then defeat the Blue Jackets to also advance to the Eastern Conference Final.

The episode turns to Denver for Game 6 between the Avalanche and Sharks, a thrilling overtime win for Colorado. Viewers are treated to an inside look at the Blues’ double-overtime win in Game 7 of the other Western Conference series before the episode wraps with the Sharks’ Game 7 victory, highlighted by the return of captain Joe Pavelski.
