Historically low viewership numbers have surfaced and at a point, it felt like their ratings were going to nosedive out of the 2 million mark, as Monday Night Raw came as close to only 2.1 million viewers during this stretch. After saying that they’ll usher in a new era, ratings have only nominally improved, but dependent on gimmicks like the McMahon family return and the return of John Cena. The product has seen steady improvement, but also reliance on the tropes of the 'old WWE'. Not too long is left before SmackDown sees a new home on the FOX Network and Raw being the flagship cannot suffer under low viewership anymore.
