Franco Colapinto needs to close the points gap to his Alpine teammate Pierre Gasly, if wants to remain on F1’s grid - and with a prospect for his home race - the Argentine Grand Prix - to return for the first time since 1998. Colapinto, has already had a taste of the local fever for his career and F1 during a pre-Miami show run, where he took to the streets of Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires in front of an estimated 600,000 fans. Colapinto proudly sang Argentina’s national anthem, before stepping into the F1 car, and heading out onto the two-kilometre temporary track setup along Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Sarmiento.
