Day one of men's action at the HSBC SVNS World Championships in Los Angeles certainly delivered as teams traded blows at the Dignity Health Sports Park.

Spain 7s and New Zealand Sevens progressed from Pool B to the semi-finals as Fiji slumped to last place in the group and Australia unfortunately missed out due to points difference.

Argentina and South Africa 7s made it out of Pool A thanks to excellent play to sink the efforts of the Great Britain and France sevens.
