Crafted in memory of the former Italy captain and hugely respected and popular Scotland scrum coach, Massimo Cuttitta, who passed away 11 months ago. The Cuttitta Cup will be contested for the first time between Italy and Scotland when the teams meet at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in the fourth round of the GUINNESS Six Nations Championship on Saturday 12 March 2022.

Twin brother and Italian winger Marcello, and Massimo’s older brother, Michele, visited Hamilton & Inches workshops in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, during the manufacture of the trophy and had a hand in its creation.

Scottish Rugby and the Italian Rugby Federation are proud to inaugurate this trophy in honour of Massimo.
