The dust has settled in Melbourne and it is Japan’s Naomi Osaka that stands above all the rest as the 2019 Australian Open champion and the WTA’s No.1-ranked player. Quite an amazing start to 2019 for Osaka, who was ranked 72 in the world before the 2018 Australian Open and has now won 14 consecutive Grand Slam matches.
