Making the effort to mentor newer officials will set them up for success with earning their Officiating Card and Crest, while promoting a positive experience on the ice during their first games. Furthermore, giving back as a mentor is a rewarding experience that helps ensure the local officiating association is around for years to come. This session will provide guidelines with how mentor programs can work and how to be an effective mentor.
