In the first game of the first ever Rugby World Cup, John Kirwan was starting on the wing for New Zealand. After spending months in the lead up working on his side step, the opportunity arose for him to run from deep. He took it and, from 80m out, scored one of the tournament's very best tries in its very first game!

Kirwan, along with All Black teammate John Gallagher reminisce on the tournament and that game when he carved through Italy.
