The 21/22 transfer window has been one of the most memorable in recent times, with huge names switching clubs. But which signings have been the smartest? In this video, we run through our XI of the best transfers this summer. But to make things more interesting, we’ve avoided a few of the more obvious players like Messi and Ronaldo, and we’ve stuck to just 1 player per club. Players in our 11 include… Jadon Sancho, who joined Manchester United for £73m from Borussia Dortmund, David Alaba who made the move to Real Madrid on a free transfer from Bayern Munich, Mike Maignan who replaced Donnarumma at A.C. Milan and Memphis Depay, who has had a great start for Barcelona. Also making our list are Danny Ings, who joined Aston Villa for £25m this summer, Joachim Andersen from Lyon to Crystal Palace and Andre Silva, who despite bagging 28 goals last season, was snapped up by RB Leipzig for just £20m.

And finally completing our list are... Spurs’ new centre back Cristian Romero, Achraf Hakimi - who already has 3 goals involvements at PSG, Manuel Locatelli - who joined Juventus after an impressive Euros and Rodrigo De Paul who made the move to La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
