Alpine had high hopes for Australia. But, the French marque left Melbourne with zero points and a whole bag of embarrassment, after Pierre Gasly crashed into Esteban Ocon at the second red flag restart, eliminating both from the race.

Gasly was also lucky the stewards saw it as a first lap racing incident, as Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz was handed two penalty points for tapping Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso into a spin. Watch the video, and tell us what you think in the comments…
