Bangkok, Thailand, June 5, 2019 - The Dominican Republic claimed a five-set victory against Thailand 3-2 (31-29, 13-25, 30-28, 20-25, 16-14) in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League on Wednesday.

Nootsara Tomkom, captain of Thailand: "Congratulations to the Dominican Republic team for their victory. It is one more time that they beat us. For today I think it was a good match and everyone in the team showed their best, but at the end of the set, they played much better than we did. That is the reason why we lost to them today.

Prisilla Rivera, captain of Dominican Republic: "I am very happy about this victory. I also wanted to say congratulations to Thailand for playing extremely well. It is always a very tough match to play against Thailand. We now want to improve our game and try to focus on the next match against Bulgaria tomorrow."
