After a week which saw Raw have a season premiere, NXT go head to head with AEW and SmackDown’s debut on Fox Sports, WWE have a lot to look ahead to. They still have the matter of Hell in a Cell ahead of them and then the WWE Draft. The draft will be looking to separate the rosters that had become homogenised after Vince McMahon announced the absurd ‘Wildcard’ rule to combat falling ratings. Now that Raw and SmackDown are on different shows, the brand split will be more enforced than ever. So, the upcoming draft is a pretty major change to WWE’s programming as WWE will look to re-establish brand warfare in a way that they failed to in the last three years of the brand split.
