The historic game is widely regarded as one of the greatest Test matches of all time and will be the first in our two-part #AshesRewind series.

Our 2005 win at Edgbaston was a pivotal moment in English cricket. After losing the first Test at Lords, England needed victory to restore parity at a crucial stage in the series. The game was a nail-biting affair, with the result hanging in the balance until the final moments of the match.

On the final day, Australia resumed their innings on 175-8, still needing 107 runs to win while England required just two wickets for victory.

England's hero of the game was Andrew Flintoff, whose all-round performance helped England on their way to an incredible two-run win over our famous rivals. His touching gesture of goodwill toward Brett Lee at the end of the game is still remembered as one of the games finest moments of sportsmanship.
