It has been reported that WWE and Fox have reached a point of agreement and that Fox will be where Smackdown Live will air. This is said to be a 5 year, billion dollar deal that will begin around October of 2019. The case with NBCU not picking up Smackdown has to do with the fact that it only draws about 2.6 million a week on average, while Raw is drawing about 3 million a week on average. Also, NBCU probably wanted to continue to invest in Raw as opposed to Smackdown because it gets more views and will bring in more revenue due to the extra hour of show time.
