USA vs KOREA | Highlights Men | Volleyball Olympic Qualification 2019 (HD)

Rotterdam, Netherlands, August 12, 2019 - USA defeated Korea in three sets on the second day of Tokyo Volleyball Qualification Pool B in Rotterdam on Saturday.

John Speraw, USA coach: “I think we are doing okay, we won two in a row in this tournament. That’s exactly what we wanted. Certainly the win against Korea who played really well the night before against the Netherlands. I hope we will play a little bit better tomorrow to beat a really good Netherlands. This whole tournament is about that one match and I think our guys will be in a good mental place. Tomorrow it’s like a final in a play-off tournament and we have to be excited about that opportunity. We will see how the days go by tomorrow.”

Taylor Sander, USA: “It was really good, I think our overall game went really well. We knew Korea could play good volleyball because they pushed the Netherlands to five sets so we were prepared. The guys went out and executed our game plan. Always serve tough and there were some blocking things we wanted to do and I think we did a really great job on defence and our offence looks good. We are excited for tomorrow because the Netherlands has a good team so we are going to prepare. We expect them to play very well so that’s what we will prepare for. We want it difficult.”

Yung-Suk Shin, Korea: “We expected a difficult game. We can improve on a lot of things in this match. We will take this experience to the Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament in January.”
