England held a 2-1 lead with just the final Test in Sydney on the horizon. All they needed was a draw to win the Ashes in Australia for the first time since 1986/7. But they went a bit further than that. Once again Alastair Cook was the star man, as he had been all series, scoring 189 to set up a colossal victory and seal a historic series.
