22 wickets fell on the first day in Chelmsford, as champions Essex took on Yorkshire in a topsy turvy match studded with England stars. Having been bowled out for 50 in their opening innings, Yorkshire rallied to pull off one of the great County Championship turnarounds. Despite the number of England internationals on show, it was Yorkshire's Harry Brook who stole the headlines. The 19-year-old made a crucial 124 in a game of low scores.
