Rally Legend 2022 San Marino - WRC+ Split Screen Virtual Comparison - Ford Fiesta VS Citroen C3

Also, at the Rally Legend 2022 in San Marino, as has been the case for some years now, there is the possibility of seeing a good number of modern cars in action as well as historical ones. This year a couple of WRC + models showed up at the start. At the wheel of the 2017 Ford Fiesta, we find the Swiss driver Paolo Vallivero "Il Valli" navigated by Stefano Cirillo, while the 2018 Citroen C3 was brought to the race by the Italian crew Nicola Stefani / Paolo Cargnelutti. For the record, "Il Vally" finished second in the general classification behind the driver Luca Pedersoli in a Citroen DS3 WRC. Both cars are equipped with 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbo engines with direct injection capable of developing 380Hp (280 kW) at 6,000 rpm and approximately 450 Nm of maximum torque. They use a sequential 6-speed gearbox, and the weight of the cars is around 1,300 kg with liquids and crew on board. I wanted to compare them with this virtual comparison; nothing scientific and chronometric but just the pleasure of seeing them both in action at the same points to notice the differences in curve setting, speed and distance.

Anche al Rally Legend 2022 di San Marino, come avviene oramai da alcuni anni, c'è la possibilità di vedere in azione un buon numero di vetture moderne oltre a quelle storiche. Quest'anno un paio di modelli WRC+ si sono presentati al via. Al volante della Ford Fiesta del 2017 troviamo il pilota svizzero Paolo Vallivero "Il Valli" navigato da Stefano Cirillo mentre la Citroen C3 del 2018 è stata portata in gara dall'equipaggio italiano Nicola Stefani/Paolo Cargnelutti. Per dovere di cronaca "Il Vally" è arrivato secondo nella classifica generale alle spalle del pilota Luca Pedersoli su Citroen DS3 WRC. Entrambe le vetture sono equipaggiate con motori 4 cilindri turbo da 1.6-Litri ad iniezione diretta capaci di sviluppare 380Hp (280 kW) a 6.000 giri/min e circa 450 Nm di coppia massima. Utilizzano un cambio sequenziale a 6 rapporti ed il peso delle vetture si aggira intorno ai 1.300 Kg con liquidi ed equipaggio a bordo. Ho voluto metterle a confronto con questa comparativa virtuale; niente di scientifico e cronometrico ma giusto il piacere di vederle in azione entrambe negli stessi punti in modo da notare le differenze di impostazione curva, velocità e percorrenza.
