I bet you have watched some of the best players in the world serve and volley at will. Jerking their opponents left and right all over the court. It is one of the most rewarding things to do in tennis.

In this video we will go over the key moves you will need to develop a good volley game. The first piece we need to go correct is the grip. You will want to use a continental grip. That will allow you to hit the forehand or backhand without adjusting the grip.

The next piece is the footwork. You will want to angle your feet to easily hit cross court on most of your shots. Finally you will want to use a karate chop type motion to simply drive through the ball. If you do these things you can angle your volleys and become a force at the net.
