Fiat 124 Abarth Spider & Rally R-GT Tribute Video - Should we also say goodbye to the Rally car?

I wanted to make a video tribute on the modern Fiat 124 Abarth Spider in the road version and on the Rally R-GT by joining the videos I have made over the years. The reason is simple. The FCA group has ceased production of the commercial model. Hence the question, should we say goodbye even to the victorious R-GT version? What future will the rally car have? Will it undergo developments and updates? Not everyone knows that for the second consecutive year the car has won the FIA ​​R-GT cup (seasons 2018-2019) and that in two and a half seasons it has collected about 80 category successes in rallies all over Europe. A winning project then. It mounts a 1.8-litre turbo engine with direct injection that, depending on the mapping, can deliver 300 hp at 6,500 rpm. The mechanical part also features a self-locking differential at the rear and a 6-speed sequential gearbox with the paddle on the steering wheel. The suspensions are high-wishbones in the front and multilink in the back. Hopefully, I say this as a racing fan, to see this Abarth compete for a long time yet.

Ho voluto realizzare un video tributo sulla moderna Fiat 124 Abarth Spider nella versione stradale e sulla Rally R-GT unendo i filmati che negli anni ho realizzato. Il motivo è semplice. Il gruppo FCA ha cessato anticipatamente la produzione del modello commerciale. Da qui la domanda, dobbiamo dire addio o se vogliamo arrivederci, anche alla vittoriosa versione R-GT? Che futuro avrà nelle corse? Subirà evoluzioni ed aggiornamenti? Non tutti sanno che per il secondo anno consecutivo la vettura ha conquistato la coppa FIA R-GT (stagioni 2018-2019) e che In due stagioni e mezza ha raccolto circa 80 successi di categoria nei rally di tutta Europa. Un progetto vincente quindi. Monta un motore di 1.8 litri turbo ad iniezione diretta che a seconda della mappatura può erogare 300 Cv a 6.500 giri/min. La parte meccanica vede anche un differenziale autobloccante al retrotreno ed un cambio sequenziale a 6 marce con paddle al volante. Le sospensioni sono a quadrilatero alto davanti e multilink dietro. La posizione del propulsore in basso e dietro all'asse anteriore permette inoltre un'ottimo accentramento delle masse. Speriamo, lo dico da appassionato delle corse, di vederla gareggiare ancora per lungo tempo.
