The rebranded-Alpine squad couldn’t capitalise on a strong end to 2020, with its A521 far from planted and off-the-pace - its undercooked aero: a result of windtunnel issues over the European winter.

Its preseason was also disrupted by news that its returning two-time F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso had sustained a broken jaw after he collided with a car during a cycling accident in Switzerland. Watch the video, and tell us what you think in the comments…
