F1’s halo may be old news, with the cockpit protection device on the cars since 2018 - a move that paid off at that year’s Belgian Grand Prix - when Fernando Alonso was launched over Charles Leclerc’s Sauber.

But, across the Atlantic, a halo alternative has finally made its race debut, with the Aeroscreen getting a rolling start in Indycar’s season opener, on June 6: the Genesys 300 at Fort Worth’s Texas Motor Speedway. Watch the video, and tell us what you think in the comments…
