Hell in a Cell has been a forgotten member of an exciting week of wrestling. While Hell in a Cell should have been the explosive PPV at the end of the week after four amazing shows during the week. Instead, Hell in a Cell has become a supporting cast member and WWE have also treated it such. The usual 12-13 match PPV card is looking barebones with two more days left for the event. As of writing this, only 4 matches have been announced for the card. None of the midcard or tag titles have been given matches with even the WWE Championship off the docket for this card. Will Rollins upset the Fiend?
Seth Rollins has been an unremarkable Universal Champion since WrestleMania 35. Neither his reign as champion nor his quest to win it back after Brock Lesnar cashed in on him were not nearly as resonant as his pre-Mania rise. On the exact opposite side of the spectrum, you have Bray Wyatt and The Fiend. It is a gimmick that has captured the collective imagination of wrestling fans unlike anything we have seen in recent memory.
The two are slated to go against each other for Seth’s Universal title inside Hell in a Cell. While it seems that nothing can stop the Fiend, especially this early into his rise, WWE may just make a big mistake. Rollins could be put in a position to beat The Fiend and keep him strong due to the emphasis WWE have put on him recently. The man who beat Brock Lesnar twice in one year may as well be the one to end The Fiends before he even started.
