While the company tells the talent that the door is always open, it is often considered to be the WWE management being courteous, as most of the ex - WWE talent either end up on the independents, or find a new career path. It gets even more difficult for a Superstar that has received a big push in the company, and let it go to waste the first time around to impress the bosses enough to be rehired. Drew McIntyre is one of the few Superstars to have rebuilt that trust, and his exploits on NXT have proved that the Superstar has indeed turned the corner.
McIntyre was brought up to the main roster during the recent Superstar Shake Up, and has ended up on RAW along with Dolph Ziggler.
