For today’s video, we’re bringing you ten of the more impressive cup runs made in recent years. Whilst we take a trip back to yesteryear for the FA Cup triumphs of Sunderland and West Ham in the 1970s and 80s, we also look at more modern achievements, including Marine and Chasetown making the third round by progressing through eight rounds first. Bradford City made it to the League Cup final in 2013 then knocked Chelsea out the cup two years later, and Lincoln City made it all the way to the last eight as a non-league side. Chesterfield were a correct refereeing decision away from an FA Cup final in 1997, and we also take a brief European tour, where Les Herbiers, Mirandes and FC Saarbrucken all defied the odds to make the latter stages of their cup competitions.
