HITZ is Premiership Rugby’s award-winning education and employability programme which, with the help of its funders Land Rover, Wooden Spoon and Comic Relief, works with more than 2,000 14-18 year olds across England every year, and is delivered nationally by England’s 13 professional rugby clubs.
At the 2018 HITZ Awards one of the four gongs on offer is the HITZ Young Achiever Award, supported by Wooden Spoon, recognising a young person who, by overcoming a range of challenges, has worked the hardest to progress on their journey back to education, training or employment. It is someone who has persevered, despite setbacks; grown personally and socially, despite initially lacking confidence; and/or made new friends despite lacking personal/social skills.
