Nanjing, China, July 6, 2019 – Reining champions United States face hosts China in their repeat semifinal clash in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League on Saturday. USA won back-to-back matches, while China lost their first match in the final round pool play.

Team USA have won all their previous three VNL matches against China, including last year’s straight-set win in the preliminary round and the four-set triumph in the semifinals. The defending champions last won their encounter with the Asian team in straight sets.

China won the bronze medal in the 2018 VNL, following their straight-set victory against Brazil.
