The 2017 Rugby Europe Championship first round gave us one surprise with Germany coming from behind to beat Romania for the first time since 1938. Germany's game finished 41-38. Georgia also beat newly-promoted Belgium in Brussels in front of a near sell-out crowd at the Stade Roi Baudouin. Fullback Merab Kvirikashvili, flanker Giorgi Tkhilaishvili and centre Giorgi Koshadze all got on the scoresheet. Final scoreline 31-6.
