The NBA Family mourns the loss of Hall of Fame Coach John Kundla who passed away on Sunday at the age of 101. Coach Kundla led the Lakers to six titles across three different leagues (NBL, BAA, NBA) from 1948 – 1954 and helped guide the first dynasty in NBA history. He is the only coach in league history to win championships in his first two seasons and was also the first coach to lead a team to three consecutive NBA titles (1952-1954). Kundla was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995.
