He has had a wildly entertaining heel run, tapping into his real-life persona of a vegan and being environmentally conscious. He has dialled it up to an annoying extent, where his character resonates with the hypocrisies of an increasingly politically correct world. After having trashed the old WWE Championship and having made a new one out of wood and hemp, it was unlikely that WWE would stop this tremendous reign end abruptly on the Road to WrestleMania, even if Kofi Kingston was as popular as he was back in 2014.
