The return of the greatest wresting commentator - Jim Ross at Wrestlemania was very pleasant. Vince McMahon did the right thing by giving Ross an opportunity to call perhaps the final match of The Undertaker's long career.
Now, interestingly enough, what was thought to be a one-time deal has now turned into an extended gig.
In an interview with FOX Sports, Jim broke the news that he signed a new two-year with WWE. He also stated that, he is wearing multiple hats and not just limiting to commentary, which is quite good !!!!
Jim further added
“It has a specific number of dates that I’m obligated to work, which I think is good for me. So look at it this way: I got my jersey back. I got brought back to my home team, and my opportunities back in WWE, I’m sure, will be multi-fold.”
Although Jim won’t be present for every event, but we are glad that he is back and especially after his wife passing. We feel it’s important for a 65 year old to be busy and be surrounded by people who respect him.
I feel that Jim Ross with his wealth of knowledge in this industry can help the new guys, especially the NXT talent
Jim is equally excited as he said
“I hope to have more ‘fun part’ assignments in the future, but I’ve got my jersey back. So if the team needs me to play, to work more than they anticipated because they need it, I’m in.”
