Loren Gabel, a senior forward from Clarkson University, was awarded the 2019 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award March 23, 2019 at Cascade Fine Catering as part of the NCAA Women’s Frozen Four weekend hosted by Quinnipiac University. The award, which is in its 22nd year, is presented annually to the top player in NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey by The USA Hockey Foundation.

Gabel, who won the award after being named a finalist last year, was selected from a group of three finalists that also included senior blueliner Megan Keller (Farmington Hills, Mich./Boston College) and senior forward Annie Pankowski (Laguna Hills, Calif./University of Wisconsin).
