5 Reasons Why WWE Chose Rollins to face Wyatt and 5 Reasons Why WWE Should've Chosen Strowman. Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman had a pretty odd rivalry. They basically had no real axe to grind against each other, but a lack of believable top heels to challenge for Rollins meant that WWE needed a clever fix. Drew McIntyre wasn’t in the title picture and then got injured, Bobby Lashley was also injured and Dolph Ziggler had just been beat while challenging for the WWE Championship. So WWE decided to put Braun Strowman in the position to challenge Seth Rollins for his newly re-acquired Universal Championship. The two faces had no real signs of tension and the only bit of storytelling added to this bland matchup was their unnecessary Raw Tag Title win and subsequent loss at Clash of Champions 2019. The feud was meant to be a placeholder for the real feud, which was the one against The Fiend Bray Wyatt. Rollins retained his title and is headed into a title defense against one of the hottest acts in wrestling right now. After his demolishing of Finn Balor, this is the first time we will see The Fiend in a match. This match will take place at Hell in a Cell 2019, but should it have been Braun Strowman instead of Rollins.
