In a game that came down to the final seconds, the United States beat Russia 5-4. Russia got on the board first during the first 20 minutes but then three goals in six minutes by the Americans gave them a 3-1 lead. Ryan Poehling paced the team with two goals while Grant Mismash, Evan Barratt and Josh Norris all added one a piece. Goaltender Dylan St. Cyr stopped 24 out of the 28 shots he faced.
